Contemporary Controls announces BAS Remote I/O

2025China.cn   2008年07月04日
July 4, 2008 - Contemporary Controls introduces the BAS Remote I/O system that communicates on a BACnet/IP network via its built-in 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and allows easy expansion of an existing BAS system I/O. By utilizing Ethernet for its communications, the BAS Remote can expand most BACnet systems via an existing Ethernet building infrastructure. This saves installation costs as MS/TP wiring does not need to be installed.

Its universal I/O provides direct connection to most servers and actuators. The BAS Remote’s Ethernet port enables this product to be inserted at any location in the BACnet/IP network. This eliminates the need for an external router or MS/TP drop.

The BAS Remote has eight I/O points, six universal input/output points and two relay outputs. The six universal input/output points can support contact closure, analog inputs/outputs (0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA) and also up to 40 Hz pulse input. The relay outputs support normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts.

Standard web browsers can be used for convenient commissioning and troubleshooting. The firmware can be upgraded in the field and as more software features are created, these can be added to the units in the field at no charge.

This device adheres to the BACnet Application Specific Controller (B-ASC) profile. It can be powered by 24 VAC/VDC source while providing a 24 VDC loop supply for transmitters.

The unit can be DIN-rail or panel mounted inside a control panel. If panel mounting is required, optional mounting tabs are provided.
