The HARTING Technology Group has opened a production facility near the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, where subsidiary HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS) is now manufacturing tailor-made solutions in its 500m2+ facility.
These products and solutions are primarily intended for mechanical and plant engineering. The manufacturing facility was officially opened by CEO Chairman Philip Harting and Andreas Conrad, Operations Director, Christian Schumacher, Managing Director of HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS), and Mariusz Matejczyk, Managing Director of HARTING Polska.
"This step strengthens our global presence and positions us even closer to our customers," Harting said. HARTING has been represented in Poland since September 2007. The opening of the production facility now comprises the next logical step. In many ways, the country is a predestined location, as Harting went on to explain. For several years, and especially since the beginning of this decade, Poland had made excellent economic progress that served as a model for other regions in Europe. The unemployment rate was low compared to other countries, as was the inflation rate, he said, adding that economic growth was robust and public debt was declining. "These numbers speak for themselves and have made it easy for us to reach the decision to manufacture in this country," the Board Chairman commented.
