October 16, 2008 -- Horner APG introduces its all-in-one controller, the XL6 Color Touch Screen Operator Control Station. Operator Control Stations (OCS) combine a controller, operator interface, networking and I/O into one convenient unit using a single, free programming software called Cscape.
The XL6 is the newest member of Horner's XL Series of OCS controllers and offers a larger display, color, a faster scan rate and a wider operating temperature. Based upon Horner's XLe (2.5" graphical OCS) and XLt (3.5" touch screen OCS) architecture, the new XL6 features a 5.7” TFT color touch screen with 32,000 colors, a faster 0.2ms/K scan rate and has the same built-in I/O options and uses the same communications options as our XLe and XLt controllers.

Very cost effective for users of popular 5.7" displays and PLCs due to XL6's built-in I/O, control and networking
Bright TFT color touch screen is readable in many outdoor applications and is capable of displaying photo-realistic objects and imagery
Choose from four models with up to 44 built-in digital and analog I/O it's expandable up to 1000's of I/O
OEM's can fit XL6 in 4" deep panels and on a panel surface of only 7" x 6"
Removable memory card provides data logging, or can be used to update application programs
XL6 is part of a "mix and match" OCS controller family with the same built-in I/O and communications options such as Ethernet, radio, telephone and cellular modems
Works with the XL Series family of field installable add-on modules such as Ethernet, cellular modem, telephone modem and radio modem – mix and match XLe, XLt and XL6 and use the same options

Faster logic scan rate (0.2m/SK) for larger or more demanding applications
256K memory to allow programs to be transported to other XL Series or OCS models
